I bought a red one

That's an interesting plate idea. I kinda like it.

I also like the license plate frame as well. Surprised no one has made those up to put on the daily driver.

Should you decide to use "BELISIMA"; Please send me a PM or Email showing the plate. I`m quite certain you probably would`nt want to publish it to the general public.

I thinks since he is a pilot that he just doesn't want to slow down....Piper take off speed is about 90-100 miles an hour with a max speed of about 188 or so. The F1 355 has a top speed of about 183 or so.....Top speed on a TR3 is about 105-110 so if you look at the similarity, the F1 and Piper line up pretty closely.......

Howdy Randy,

Whats the latest & Greatest on the "Ferrari"?

Regards,

"All of Us"

Just got back from SD and there was a red one in La Jolla. Was going to take a pic but my daughter wouldn't give up the camera. She said she doesn't like the 90's Ferrari

I did my Italian fling with an Alfa GTV6 in the late eighties. Italian mistresses are fun but expensive!

I have been traveling like crazy.

The car took forever to get the valve guides done. The guy put the engine back in and the car would not electrically go into gear and was throwing all kinds of check engine codes. Ham handed engine builder not real good with electrics. More details on that to follow...it was not good.

I finally just loaded it on my trailer this past Saturday afternoon and took it home. It has been at a local Ferrari repair shop while I travel this week. They have been fantastic.

The car runs and they are doing a full scan on the system in the morning. If it is adequate they are going to drop it in my garage in the afternoon and it will be there when I get back tomorrow night

Pictures to follow.

...off to another customer dinner.... Talk at you all Saturday

And here I thought because of the new Prancin Horse, you were to good for us!

Hi Folks,

A friend of mine had a "308" that would start "IF" it felt like going for a ride. After a few hits with a fist on top of the dash; She would decide to fire up & go. Ultimately after delv. the car to a "FERRARI TECH" (Key Thing to do); They found a "RELAY" in the dash (Passengers Side) amongst the 100 relays or so there; That he had a bad one.

The moral to this story is: "AND YOU THOUGHT LUCAS WAS BAD"! "NOT"!

Randy; You obviously did the right thing by bringing her into a "FERRARI" shop; As they typ. know what the heck thier doing. Not Cheap but Good.

Best Wishes,

Russ

I jumped some early flights this AM and went to the shop... We did a test run and I just drove it home.... 1/2 hour drive. Perfect. Did you know you can do 120 mph before you hit the end of decent size entrance ramp

The trailering to & maintenance cost was less than the last dealer repair for my daughters Lexus RX330. I found a great shop close to my place....very happy about that.

The electrics on the car need help. However, as an old Lucas fan, I think I will be able to master the challenge. The rest of the car, engine, heads, tranny, exterior & interior are all good to excellent. So just easy / putsy stuff now.

Still need to clear some codes and get the Ferrari SD scanner connected as the DPO cut the connectors off the wire harnesses???!! Why? IHNFI.

Pretty happy to have it home. Pictures in the morning if it isn't snowing!

Some pics from the untrailering last Sunday.... more to follow!

Randy,.... you are in so much trouble ahead of you

Straight A student... Great set of friends. I should be worried...and I am cautious. But I am blessed with a very bright, level headed 17 year old kid.

She has no use for a boyfriend at the moment...."All drama and no brains" she says.

Lots of girl & boy friends though and they are all headed this way tomorrow to see the TR8 & the 355.

I pity her real boyfriend / husband when it actually occurs. The expectations are pretty high

Sounds like a darker hair version of mine.
Though, as I said, not a fan of the 90's Ferarri

Randy,

Your garage looks full. Where is the new car going to live (and where's the TR8?)?

It is VERY full. I am up to 5 cars now.

I have a storage shed for my boat. I swap cars in & out of that during the summer. The TR8 is there now. I was hoping to collect it up and get some pictures of both today but it is raining.

We have been looking for a new house for awhile now. The problem I have is I can never seem to find one with a garage big enough. The one I did fine (4 car garage upstairs and a rear entrance into the basement with 4 more stalls underneath) was 10,000 sq feet. Kinda big for me and the Mrs.

I like the garage setup but 10,000 sq. feet house??

Really? It kinda looks like an updated TR8....aren't you building one of those now?

Randy, that was my Daughters quote. Was making a comparison between yours and mine
