darling daughter is moving into our apartment in anticipation of starting her new job tomorrow (intern at IBM - visual designer - she (and we) is very excited.) So, this week has been painting and getting the apartment set up. Today I had to trim some wire shelving - enough that the hacksaw would have been inefficient. "That's OK" thinks I, I will use the grinder with the cutting wheel. Went to get the grinder and moved the box on top of it - Oh look! and electric cutoff tool from Harbor Freight - brand new. Worked a treat - only I don't really remember buying it - doh!

That's the one I let you borrow 5 years ago. Just keep it.

Look a little harder and you might find 2 of them. :highly_amused:

Just goes to show - if you never throw anything away, you just may find a use for it!

I bought a new hitachi jig saw 4 years during deck project. I just discovered it pulling out the polisher for the El Camino.
never even opened the the box will need to use that someday.

A HF tool that worked well? To answer your question, yes -- that only happens to you.:friendly_wink:

No, happened to me too. I bought this >> Pneumatic Floor Nailer << from HF and completed installing 3/4 inch solid oak floors in my living room, three bed rooms, a study and a long hallway without a single problem. Now, if I was a professional and going to be doing this for a living, I'd probably invest in something much better, but for what I needed, it worked great. At the time, I bought it in-store on sale for $99!

I know the feeling. When we had to put down underlayment to lay ceramic tile on in three rooms, I bought this and what a great thing for screwing the underlayment down. Fast and easy. Liquid nail under the wood and screw it down and is solid as can be. I didn't lay the tile, had a pro do that. PJ

Did the floor tile here myself, something close to 700 sq.ft., had the loan of a Diamond-K wet saw. When I did the bathroom shower I got a Home Depot cheezy wet saw. BIG difference in accuracy and cleanliness of the cuts! I booger'd up more than a few with the El-Cheapo saw. When it comes time to tile the laundry room floor, I'm renting a D-K.
