I read somewhere that part of the impetus behind the song was how commercialization had killed the true meaning of Christmas. Maybe that has something to do with it? (just a guess)
 
I always enjoyed ELP, but have been a BIG Tull fan for many decades, ( seriously liked some of Andersons solo stuff to )
