To all my friends up north...

but it was 72°F this morning so I drove in with the top down. I wish you could have been here, too.

4f this morning. Warmed up some since then. It's now 5f.

Still snowing here, expecting a major storm tomorrow...
Gee tomorrow's my first day back to work in 6 weeks and it's all "WINTER STORM WARNING" out there.
:frown:

Slid off my hill this morning (with about 2" of snow). Not very safe. Probably won't make it home this afternoon (and I put boots, hat, scarf, gloves in the car to walk the last bit). Like Seattle, supposed to be a lot tonight... then warmer, wet and very windy. Was beginning to think winter had skipped us.

I accept your apology, I see your in Austin, I will be vacationing in San Antonio this coming March, but flying so I still won't be able to drive the Midget in the nice weather, but at least I will be able to enjoy the nice weather !, our winter has been delayed up here in northern Ontario, but it has arrived this past week ! Here's hoping for an early spring...

Honestly I don't know how you guys do it. I also don't see how the economy is better up north cause y'all can't do anything in the winter.

Well, heck, we use caves up here. Cozy all winter. :thirsty:

Slushy salty mess.

Cold here this morning, 50ish. It warmed up to 75 this afternoon.
Too bad the Midget is still in bits from my accident December 13.

Unabashed call for parts: Southeast US only
Front bumpers, hood, radiator, right inner bumper, front frame rails. you get the picture

74 here today in NW Florida. Sure wish it would cool off. LOL

It was in the teens here a couple of days ago with snow. Into the 40's today, snow almost all gone. Supposed to chill out and snow again by the weekend.

Mr. Frog is up on 4 jack stands for all kinds of maintenance anyway, as long as it's above 25 outside I can work in my unheated garage.

you've got it backwards - we have nothing else to do so since we can't go driving, we go to work. (40 here BTW but getting colder by the minute)

I go into cave 1, 2, 3 or 4 and perform various projects suitable for said cave.
Spent most of last week in my shop (cave 3) rebuilding three old "0" scale passenger cars, two are late 30's, built of Strathmore board (fine cardboard) that had been crushed long ago. Got 'em fixed, they even have full interiors to them.
Fixed up three wood cabooses.
Today, I finished a ScaleCraft cast Zamac caboose...actually, remnants of two...made one complete unit, painted, cleared. I have about 60 ScaleCraft freight cars, and three engines (in addition to about the same number of cars from other manufacturers) and about 6 other locomotives. Just got on a kick to do some work. Last time was 1995.
Put a new wiper motor gear in the Jag (cave 4), been going through stuff in the basement (cave 2).
Then I come into cave 1 and post on this forum.
Keeps me warm and dry.
