Toby is one of the few celebrities that goes to Iraq to do shows for the troops or will even consider going. He is also considered an "outlaw" in the C&W music industry, A non conformist if you will. Out of the Current C&W artists he is near the top of the list in my book! And ... Yes I am a C&W fan, but one of the old school music, Not this crossover, pop culture so called Country Music of these days.
 
"Outlaw", yup, pretty much how Branson started. Some of the so called outlaws got tired of being under Mini Pearls thumb, so to speak and bailed out of Nashville. Some were told they would never make it on their own. They proved Nashville wrong! I personally like the old style country music, you know, Ernie Tubb, Hank Snow, etc along with hillbilly and mountain music. My favorite instrument, 5 string Banjo!

I love bluegrass and got one of them 5 string thingies, had it for about 20 years and still can't play it. A definite skill, now my son on the other hand can play just about anything and is a sound engineer and can play just about anything (he played a french horn in high school)

I have my Father In Laws Five string banjo, He bought it when he was 10 years old {now deceased at 83} That make it at least 70 years old. A friend of the family rebuilt it a few years back. {new Skin, Strings and adjustment to the head}. He is the only one that has played it sence. I used to sit and listen to "Dad" play for hours on end {at the expense of one very unhappy Girl friend/now wife} His playing style was "Three finger Pick" and man could he pick it too! I wish I could play it too, unfortunately it isn`t in me I guess. Bluegrass is my first choice of music, I love it! Second choice would be Zydeco. {Cajun}

Toby has a lot of good music out if you like real C&W
 
I had the opportunity to meet Tobie last year and he is as serious about our country and families as his music reflects /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

I forgot to put down that I love Cajun music also. It just makes you want to dance!
