Old age must be fast approching I couldn't say no (again) when a 63 tr4 came up for sale nearby.Wrecked in the early 70's it has gathered dust in the back of a bodyshop in a small town for 30+yrs. Most of the "work " they did try to do is ,of course absolute crap but underneath is an un-rusted 29k tr4! Naturally they had lost a fair number of bits and included stuff from some mgb but still I couldn't pass it up,so now I have 4 tr's again(3,4,4,6).
Now to get it fired up and start on a title...

There is a TR4 like that near me and I've been tempted....good job I have no time to have a better look at it!

Where's the PICS???

If you were around Boston instead of Kansas, I would've said "That must be the TR4 I wrecked while on leave from the Army!" I didn't have the money to pay for the towing to the yard, much less getting it back down to Long Island where I lived. I just signed the sucker over. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cryin.gif

It was my first TR, and never let me down. Unfortunately, a few too many beers one rainey night with my fraternity brothers, and I ran it off the road into a rock abuttment.

I havnt taken any pics yet, shop is way too busy and customers come first..
The part of the story I didn't relate is that the car was bought sight un-seen.....you know how you hear about a car forsale some where for some silly cheap price??Well after this friend had told me about this critter several times I just got tired of the same old,you know circular logic/no pics.I told him that if it was what he said it was, to buy it,put it on his trailer, drag it to the shop and I would pay him 150% plus gas money, no questions as long as the total was x hunderd $ or less. This got him moving (at least) and bingo, one orphan.CT18433l I will find it a good home eventually....I am pretty sure I dont need two 63 tr4's

Congratulations. You guys are so lucky having old TRs kicking around like that. I wish I lived there.
Maybe that wouldn't be such a good idea as I would probably end up with far too many cars.
Looking forward to the pictures.
