I’m nervous. I found myself two full quarts of oil low. Car runs great. No fouling of plugs. Compression even across all cylinders at about 160. That seems low to me. My other TR4 was 175. Oil pressure gauge is good after adding oil. But what caused this? I have no material leaks. I see no clouds of smoke on high RPM shifts. I used Moss 87mm rings on rebuild. Part 817-200, I put them in carefully. My only engine venting is the PCV valve. It looks totally clean. Maybe 4 drops of oil in there. A small bit of goop. Nothing else.
If I’m getting “blow-by” or whatever it’s called, wouldn’t my plugs be fouled? Just checking online it doesn’t seem there’s a sure-proof easy test.
Any thoughts greatly appreciated. I hope I’m not I for an engine pull and overhaul already.
