Wife and I went to Lowes last night to look for backsplash tile. My wife looks at the displays of the different tiles attached about ten feet up on the wall. She notices one she likes. It was square tiles and each tile had Rounded corners.
I reach into the bin and pull the sheets of tiles and we both noticed the ones in the bin had Square corners. I call the salesman over and point out the difference to him.
His response (wait for it) was….
“Those tiles have been hanging on the wall for years and they are worn”

I guess they must get periodic sandstorms coming through aisle 36

Oh tiles... I think I hate tiles. I KNOW that I hate tile stores. Finally got the tiles for the backsplash in the kitchen. My wife liked them in the store, a nice grey stone like pattern. I drag them home and the tile guy puts them up. The most visible tile is about 50% brown. Wife was not amused. Fortunately I had enough spare so off it came. Ah the joy of modern randomly colored tile. What you buy is NOT what you get.
