Hylomar or Wellseal...

...Or both?

Is it alright to substitute Permatex Hylomar for Wellseal.

I need to use a "jointing" compound on the felt seals for the rear main bearing and the factory manual specifies "Wellseal". Wellseal is not available locally, but Permatex Hylomar is. Isn't it basically the same type sticky goop?

Hylomar will work fine, Tab.
