HVDA Toyota Tranny conversion: alternatives?

Hey everyone! Thanks so much for all the great posts in this thread. I'm beginning to develop a better appetite for the cost of the HVDA after reading through all your posts.

Thanks again........ /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/driving.gif

Conversion Components in New Zealand, adapts a Toyata Supra 5sp. Complete kit with bell housing, slave cylinder, clutch fork, throwout bearing, clutch plate, bushing, speedo cable and miss. and parts for driveline conversion and gearlever relocation and transmission mount with cross member---- with shipping it is around $2150.

Yup, their kit actually is older than Herman's. They can also source close ratio Supra Gearboxes that are a rarity in the states.

I love my HDVA. Works so nice with my TR3.

I have been to Herman's house and seen his shop. The $1500 is a bargain, as I was looking at a $1800 rebuild of my transmission. In the future, if I need a new tranny, its about $400 at the junkyard.

As far as the shifting is concerned, I push my clutch in about 1" to shift.

Its great!
