TR6 Hurst Style "TR6"

Re: Hurst Style "TR6"

Considering their location, I'm surprised they didn't do it in blue and gold (UM) instead of Steeler colors. I think it would have looked better with just the center stripes.

Re: Hurst Style "TR6"

Not my cup of tea either but I am constantly
amazed at the low prices these restored cars
go for.

As I well know, these TR6s easily cost $40K to
$50K to restore them to simple drivable condition.
I imagine the flatbed Trailer Queens probably cost
upwards of $100,000.

Why do they cost next to nothing to purchase after
someone has dumped so much $$$ into them?

I know it's supply vrs demand but.................

$7500. for a nice looking, steetable TR6. I just can't
believe it.

Ah, but we still have "Reserve not met" on this one.

I have to say, the paint job on this TR is so ugly, its .....ugly!

They say "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" Maybe some Visine is called for here though.

Re: Hurst Style "TR6"

Not meaning to stir any pot-

but my guess is that an engineer chose
that paint scheme.

An architect would not be seen driving in that
car as a passenger.

Had to be an engineer.

With garish tastes.

Re: Hurst Style "TR6"

I took another look.

If I super size the main photo and take a look at
the very top edge of the gold trim strips, I think
I can just make out those tube lights that glitter
in gold with different sequences available.

I'll bet that car looks swell at nights with gold
twinklie lights running along the wheels and bottom
edges.
