Knowing eBay, some poor soul will probably pay the price!

Anything is possible on eBay . . .

I guess the old "millions won in foreign lawsuits that needs claiming" trick isn't working any more.

Clean operation, no middle men or PO boxes. Just pay and bend over.

Quite a sales push with all of one photo. Looks more like an appeasement: "Oh well, Sweetie, at least I tried. Looks like I'll just have to keep it after all."

From the ad <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:]I really do not want to sell it, but hey for $85,000 it's gone - Price is non-negotiable, so don't ask[/QUOTE]

I guess you really don't want to sell it. Maybe it is a ploy for his wife.

"OK, dear, I will get rid of the car."
"Well, I tried, no one wanted to buy it. So I guess I will have to keep it."

Here`s another Great Ebay Scam;

Poor Guy seems just totally distrought: I guess I would be also:

What surprises me is that I did`nt see this one? Maybe it was on ebay.uk??

Oh Well; This stuff is just getting a bit out of control; I believe:

Be Careful what you wish for; It just may "NOT" come true:

Regards, Russ

For Sale, 66 TR4a irs, FOUR forward speeds, $105,000. Bud the cat said the price is solid. Bud is a Maine Coon cat.

For sale my beloved 1972 Triumph TR6 as seen in the picture below. I really hate to sell it, but blah, blah, blah. I would like to see it go to a true Triumph enthusiast. It pains me to sell, but for $685,000 what the heck. My loss is your gain. Non-negotiable, only one picture. Price is firm.

If he got $685K he might lose money!

In 1977 I sold my (spotless) 1968 TR250 for $700. No one wanted 'em back then.
I used that money pay for a semester or so of college and a $50 Chevy Vega station wagon.

Ouchy.

Ouch !!!!! I had a 1970 GT6+ which was my first LBC that I sold for what I thought was a princely sum of $800 in around 1978 or 79 to buy a snowmobile. You could buy a new Yamaha snowmobile for that much in that time frame.

Ebay was having a 2 day promotion to list your car for $1.00 so I guess he figured "What the h*ll?" If he gets a buyer for $85K, he can buy 1000 more Padres tickets or 2 lower box seats at Fenway Park for a Yankee game.

As recently as the 90s there was a "TR Buyers Guide" that pretty much wrote off the entire Micholetti range of TRs as non-collectable. The author even questioned the sanity of someone chosing the TR5 over the TR6...I believe the "Guide" is now out of print.
