First, the good news. The roof and walls are still in place at the shop, so I assume the car's okay. I haven't seen it yet, but that's what I've been told. I do, however have parts scattered over Palm Beach and Martin County. The steering column is at the powder coater, and the head is up in Martin County...hopefully those business are still in one piece. My house came through it without much damage--just a few missing shingles, but my friend Cheryl didn't fare as well. The back side of the hurricane got under the eves and tore off the roof of the garage and smashed it into the upstairs window. There's quite a bit of water damage, but all-in-all, it could have been worse. She had her S2000 parked in the garage and luckily enough it didn't even get a scratch. The storm blew over very quickly and I think that limited the damage. I stayed at a friend's house and we went outside during the eye and shot some hoops (actually it was the World Championship Horse Competition). It was very strange to be outside during that half hour lull. All of a sudden the wind started to pick up and in about five minutes it was back up to hurricane force winds! A lot of the traffic lights are still laying on the ground so driving is quite a challenge, and most of the gas stations are still without power and fuel. It will be another week or two before things are back to normal. Hopefully I'll have her back on the road by then.

Glad everything is turning out okay!!!
