Humorous moment while detailing Healey flasher unit

Upon removal of my Lucas Flasher unit, the inscribed message was made very clear me, "DO NOT DROP." Well, okay I thought.

But nothing mentioned about not stepping on it, crushing it a bit, which is how I discovered it after removal (not caused by me, mind you).

Just listen to what they want and nothing else matters!

Flasher is back in now. Refurbishing reservoir unit (decal will soon be added). Doing extensive detailing. Having a blast!

Years ago I wrote some code for a network testing device called PowerBits. In the manual for the device, along with the usual admonitions to not subject the device to extremes of temperature, excessive vibration, etc. was a warning: 'do not spill coffee on the PowerBits.'

Paul,

Are you sure someone, very light, didn't see smoke rising from the flasher and tried to stomp out the fire? Or, maybe the flasher was in the process of imploding due to over use?

Bob, Good advice. Don't want to spill my coffee. Rather enjoy drinking it.

Ray, Didn't see any burn marks. Just a lot of green paint! Couldn't tell you but it still works!
