Can anyone point me in the direction of a Humber Snipe or Super Snipe? Actually looking for a rolling chassis, don't need body or interior.

Thanks,
Don

Don, try PM'ing some of our Canadian members. They show up north of the border from time to time. I'm kind of halfway looking for a Super Snipe myself.

Well, while you guys are looking for them, keep your eyes open for an MG YB saloon

If I find one, Tony, I'll be sure to send you a picture of it sitting in my driveway. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Jeff - & I'll thank you for getting it up out of its hiding place, rolling & in your drive so I can get my trailer right behind it....hehehehehe

Here are two ads I ran across...not sure of the dates when they were posted

FOR SALE: 1959 Humber Super Snipe, sound original car, needs some work but drives good. $inquire, Phil Stahlman at 510-548-5176 Berkeley, CA
FOR SALE: 1962 Humber Super Snipe, complete car, ready for restoration, $1,500 (Canadian) obo 780-352-2743, Alberta

Also, you may want to try the MG Club of NJ. One of thier guys comes to the Moss BritFest every year in a nice Humber Super Snipe (I just saw it a few weeks ago). They may be able to hook you up with him and he may have some ideas.

You might try through the British Saloon Car Club of Canada... https://www.geocities.com/motorcity/7967

Club membership is quite inexpensive, the club also hosts an active Yahoogroups (linked off the above website)

That second Super Snipe listed there? The one in Alberta... It was for sale for a long time at that price, just kept popping up every week in the Bargain Finder, I haven't monitored the Bargain Finder much over the past year or so, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's still for sale, a phone call certainly never hurts anyway

When I saw this post, I checked the "Oily Rag" (British Saloon Club newsletter) Nothing listed. There is however a Yahoo group called BritCarTalk that might be worth asking on. While this group isn't specifically the Saloon club, it seems to be mostly the saloon club.

I have a Series III Super Snipe for Sale. It's a running, driving car. Asking price is $2,000. Car is located in San Jose, California. Has new brakes including caliper pistons, stainless sleeved servo, new tires, excellent hubcaps, good interior (needs headliner). Call if you're interested.
