(I hope this isn't a repost......I hadn't seen it before).

By the way, I discoverd a while back that Sully is <span style="text-decoration: underline">exactly</span> one day younger than me.
 
Was it just me, or did the air traffic controller not comprehend that the plane was going down. Seemed like he would have been scrambling a rescue. I heard someone in the cockpit say "idiot" though I don't know who that was directed to.
 
I had seen a prior recreation, but no where near the realistic quality of this one!! WOW!!
 
Be sure to watch the alternate view recreation, they add additional controllers and port authority personel dialogue. Gives a more complete audio picture of what was happening. Just amazing that it turned out like it did.

I thought that the first time I heard the audio replay from the incident. The controller was trying to redirect them and didn't seem to fully comprehend the urgency of the situation. Then again, as calmly as Sully was talking to the controller his tone of voice wouldn't have raised any extra alarm bells to me either.

Given Sully's background, he was THE person to be in the number one seat of that aircraft on that day.
