HS4 to HIF inlet manifold question

I'm putting together a set of HIF's that came without an inlet manifold. I have 2 from HS4's. Can I use one from HS4 FOR THE HIF.
Thanks
Rick

As far as the spacing and bolting-up requirements go, they are interchangeable.
Other considerations are the threaded fittings - are they the appropriate size for your anti-pollution equipment (if used). Also the exhaust manifold "ears" should be the same thickness as the intake manifold "ears" or you will need to shim them to prevent vacuum leaks. I think there is about an 1/8" difference between the HS4 and HIF4 manifold ear thickness. These are minor considerations though, you should be able to create work-arounds.

I swapped from HIF to HS4's without any fitting problems. Only glitch is the connecting shaft between the carbs is a different length. The HS4's requiring a longer shaft than the HIF's. Bob
