Howdy, I / we were active here in 2006-2007 under the name Team Sprite. Those of you old enough (and still able) to remember, and allowed Internet access by your keepers, played a major part in the restoration of our Bugeye. I realized that the Team Sprite websitesite address has not been available for several years, having been ‘lumped in’ with a few other projects. The Team Sprite site still has some worthwhile information (a dozen or so period magazine reviews c 1958-1960) and fun photos. It can be found under www.morethanthecar.com there are probably some bugs here and there. Just click on the little red car.
I also wanted to tell you all that you made a lasting impression on these girls through your generosity and unceasing encouragement. I keep in touch with all of them, and the car will always come up. Brian

Brian,
Thanks for the update and I love the choice of cars!

good to hear from you! I remember your progress fondly and look forward to poking around the site!

Good to hear from you! That was a great project, was really enjoyable to follow along when it was happening.

I had no idea it had been that long! Great to hear from you

Of all the projects with kids, that is the one I remember with the most fondness. Four of those girls and I had a bluegrass/folk band for a couple of years before the Sprite. I had never thought of it before, but that may have helped us in learning how to work so well together. I'm really enjoying the buggy project (https://www.morethanthecar.com/nateabel.html) we're playing with now. One 13 year old girl and a 14 year old boy at the moment, trying to get it running before July 4th. I've had a few health issues, and that's my speed at the moment.

Its great to see you are still doing these projects! I'm sure the kids are getting a life lesson and a good dose of self confidence from the projects. I wish you the best!!:applause:

Kurt.
