My .02, I'd sand blast them and then plate them. I bought one of those zinc plating kits from Eastwood. I have to say, it works very well and the parts look brand new.
 
Am waiting to see what they look like after the science experiment.
 
I have already done that science experiment and can attest to the good results :thumbsup: ! PLUS, while they are perking away, you can be doing something else productive!! :wink:
