How to Tell if an OD Trans

Isaw an early '70's GT that I believe is
almost ready to be crushed. The thing's really
rusty, but the hatch has only minor surface bubbles
at the bottom.
I can't see under the car.How do I tell if it's
an OD model or not?

The OD unit is attached at the back of the trans and is about 10" in diameter maybe. There is a little plate that might say "Laycock" on it. If it does, it's and OD.

& on that particular MG, jacking it up & looking is the only way....but, I'd bet 85% that its not.
