How to remove turn signal lenses from Bugeye

How do I remove the lenses from the little bullet-style turn signals on the Bugeye? I don't remember seeing any screws anywhere on the outsides. I need to get in there to check the bulbs and contacts.

My experience they will remove themselves all too often. Just pull up a chair, sit down and watch. They'll probably fall off by themselves! Actually the chrome ring is pried out of the rubber, then grab the lens and pull. No screws.

Be nice to the rubber... they tend to disintegrate with age.

Use a very small screwdriver and run it around the rim of the light or chrome ring to help out, kind of like demounting a tire.

I have a good friend named David Turner walk past my car and bump them with his leg. Takes em right off.

I use a Popsicle stick that is tapered to a wedge at one end, and has the corners rounded. No damage to the rubber or the chrome. It helps on reinstallation, too.

I've a collection of "cow tools" made from popcicle sticks and chopsticks, filed/shaped to do different jobs like that... no abrasion, no cuts in gaskets, seals etc. Chopsticks are Da BOMB. Eat a quart of fried rice and get a FREE TOOL!

I like chinese food. I like to eat with chop sticks too. Great to entertaining the other folks at the table by sticking them up your nose(not too far though).
