How to polish minor scratches out of side curtain?

Hey all -

What's the best way to clean up minor scratches in the clear plastic on side curtains? Would a jewelers rouge work? Is there an ancient, carefully guarded, Spridgeteer secret?

Thanks!

Bill,
I would use either McQuire's plastic polish or Swirl Remover which are only slightly abrasive.Apply to a wetted surface with a damp cotton polishing rag-NOT POLYESTER!
Follow this with either Quick Detailer spray or a shot of Johnson's Pledge which will tend to mask and fill the scratches.
Deeper scratches can be polished out with the special blue colored rouge for plastic and a soft cotton polishing wheel in a 1/4 inch drill but there is a real fine line between eliminating the scratch and melting the surface. Ask me how I know?

Thanks, Tom.

MELTING the surface??? That can't be good. Do tell

Thanks again for the pointers!
