I have obtained four new proper solid rivits to replace the aluminium ones with (leaky) holes that I put on a few years ago.

What tool or method do I use to press these on? Is there a special tool?

Don't know exactly what material you're working with. Are the rivets copper, steel or aluminum? In any event, if they are really solid rivets, they are driven from one side and "bucked" from the other. Any aircraft mechanic can help, and your local Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) chapter will gladly steer you to an eager homebuilder who can help.

are the rivet heads round or flat. Get something that matches the rivet head and use that for a bucking bar and you can use a small hammer to drive the rivet from the backside. A well driven rivet will expand the shank diameter by 50%.
