I think some of us would prefer to figure out the agendas ourselves. Not afraid that reading something will permanently damage us! If it's interesting - why not read it.

National Geographic publishes more articles about social issues than it does about mummies, the Amazon, or any of the other things I began reading it for.

As with many fellow photogs, I once-upon-a-time aspired to work for NatGeo, one of my fellow AAVS co-workers had a standing invite to go with them when he retired. That was in the early '70's. And Mitsy was friends with one of the editors at the time as well. Heady times.

But things change.
