That was a tricky one - and I think the correct answer would be 90, but I made an assumption that you'd take the first pill right away, although technically the problem wasn't clear on that. I took a guess and got lucky on that one!

I answered I don't know. The question was worded "how long will the pills last" - since there was no mention of the efficacy or potency of each pill, there is no way to know how long they will last. Plus we don't know the metabolism or body mass of the individual taking the pills, etc.

Let's see: 5/3= 1.66 24/5= 4.8...which is exactly 3 times greater than 1.66

This would mean that each point is "worth" 1.5, so 50-5(where we left off)= 45...X 1.5 (what each "point" is worth or rate of increase = 67.5

therefore 67.5 X 4.8(where we left off) = 324

Now, 4.8 could need to be squared or cubed every other number depending. We'd need more information to know for sure.


Then 50 should be 324.
