How old is the average Triumph nut on the forum?

Re: How old is the average Triumph nut on the foru

A few years ago I traded one of my MGs for a Triumph Stag. My son was going to be of driving age shortly after that, and he quickly "adopted" the Stag. I am now 52 and he is now 20. He recently sold the Stag and bought a Riley Elf, and also has a 69 MGB. I see a long future for him with british cars, and maybe another Triumph someday. I still have a Triumph, a 65 Herald convertible, currently for sale. Current fascination is minis and mini variants, but could certainly own another Triumph at sometime.

46 years, 9 months, 20 days, 5 hours, 21 minutes and ahh 30 seconds give or take.

I guess I'm not too old- heck, I was playing with Matchbox cars the year they built my TR6.

Just keep 'em coming!

Recently 51 and had first Triumph in the mid seventies. Last LBC, first time around, in the mid 80's then along came the kids. They grew and we changed countries twice before I got back into it as a hobby, rather than a transportation necessity, last year.

I have posted on occasion about bringing new blood in to augment us old geezers, so I am pleasantly surprised that there are a few whippersnappers on the forum in their 30's and even 20's. Not enough to save the LBC hobby, but it might delay its demise for a while.

59 in my '59, which I bought from the original owner in '68 (and under current reconstruction for the last two years). And maybe only slightly, wistfully wishing that my age matched the '55 instead.

56 years old
feel 112 after spraying and sandin the spit all day
been told I act like a 2 year old at times.(Is that a good thing??)

Most of you are very, very old.

I'm 48 but I look 47.

Re: How old is the average Triumph nut on the foru

I`m Older than air, & Younger than dirt. I got my Tr-3 In 1963 It was already 7 years old, Wrecked and in pieces. Everything on the car that could be dissassembled WAS! And all of the parts were laying either in the floorboards or the boot. Luckily MOST of them were there. It took me and my dad nearly a year to find what parts were missing and re assemble it. I`m 8 years older than the car. Yep, that makes me 58.
