61 the end of August. Bought 4 Bugeyes in 1973 while working my way through engineering school at NCSU. Sold two, kept 2 and now I've got about 20 or more square bodies, a MGA saved in Athens, GA and my first new car, a 1973 Datsun 510 2-door, plus a 71 wagon. Been a LBC addict for a long time. Mike

Good taste in car's Mike....I'm a Datsun fan as well. Beside's repowering spridget's with A series Datsun engines and 5 speed's I always liked the L series. On my 5th 620 pickup.
BTW I'm 64!
Kurt.

Hi Guys We have a 63 sprite.I am 55 and wondering why i still have greasy fingers.I should have learnt by now.cheers kym

Interesting poll results. It shows that 48% of respondents are over 60 years of age. I will up the average a little. I will be 80 on June 2nd. I still consider myself as a bugeye owner even tho I sold my bugeye in March of 20012, after 16 years of ownership. I can still
satisfy my bugeye addiction by hitching a ride with friends in the local Austin-Healey club.

Hey and James the Elder and I share the same name so I know he's a good guy.

I'm 50 this year, supposedly only look 49.5,sometimes feel 116--lots of fun disguised as hard living. Hey Mike in SC--good to see another NCSU fella on the forum. I'm envious--you're living up in God's country--what a beautiful part of the state. I'm in Raleigh,NC and Raleigh has been "discovered";it's now in the handbasket and well on its way down. Don't let it happen to you! Cars: First car I bought was a '73 Triumph GT6 while in the Army. Talk about jumping in at the deep end! The car was never where I left it on-post--"buddies" of mine would reposition it in creative places. How they picked it up with that heavy iron straight six in it beats me. Various other interesting cars,Opel Manta,Midget(rebuilding another one now),Datsun B210GX,Capri(the German one--rebuilding one of those, too),various motorcycles. Kind of a bottom-feeder when it comes to cars--all I could ever afford, but the cars don't know that, and I've had a blast with all of them.
