How often do you check your SU fuel pumps ?

I did not change the mobile parts , just changed the fixed 2 points and cleaned the 2 mobile ones.
So according to manual I did not have to adjust anything.
 
Well Matey, Dave's comment can still be valid and considers the case where initially the pump was inadvertently assembled incorrectly. Therefore, it remained in that incorrect state given that you only repaired the points. Cumulatively, lacking arc suppression components and being assembled incorrectly might justify its short time to failure. Defective parts in a lot are to be expected--Fwiw-Keoke

I have just ordered a pointless SU AZX1308 EN. When i get it, I will send them back the "old" (6 month) pointed 1307 so they can see how incorrectly it was assembled and repair it. Once repaired I shall keep it in the boot for emergency swap in case of future electronic failure ;-)

Too bad not to drive today : it was such a nice weather...

Just to let you know that the new SU electronic (delivered by Burlen within 3 days) has been installed and works perfectly well...
Hoping it will last longer than the "pointed" one.
