How much snow where your Triumph lives?

None!

Central California is where you can drive your TR3 on any day its not raining hard. You can go to the snow (takes about an hour) or the beach (thats about 2 hours).

Supposed to be 81 by Friday.

What do you mean "come on May......?"

It's been a pretty mild winter here in the rockies, but normally we get several feet of snow (in a single storm) on many occasions during November and February.

This winter has been so mild that I've been driving my Lotus several times a week. It's also been warm enough to work on the Lotus & Triumph out in the garage with just a light jacket on.

My Triumph(Spitfire)Whitelightningis in her cubby(Cover-it garage(also tucked under a blue waterproof)cover. The weather outside is frightful white & cold & dry with an inch on the ground here in central Ohio.Right now the most bothersome thing is the dry low humidity, enough static electricity to jump start my Spitfire.Temps 10 deg.at 9:46pm
The cigar lighter voltmeter still shows 12.6 v,while sitting for 2 wks,I've been driving her more this winter only on dry snowless days to keep the fluids energized. The coldest she's been out in is 25 deg started right up,even the j-type kicked in ok.The speedo was a bit noisy but soon quieted down. After 5mi you could easily tell how things smoothed out & quieted. Its amazing with a Spitfire you don't really need to turn the heater blower on,just the heat given off by the 4cyl is enough to keep you warm.
Brrr!SPRING IS 11/2 WKS AWAY.HIP HIP HOOWRAY.

There are at least two weekends a month in the winter time in Colorado when I can get in my Stag and go for a ride in the sunshine. Something about 320 solar gain days a year just makes it all so fine.

Oh, for those of you looking to move to Colorado, well believe the weather reports, it snows all the time here /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif

Here in the middle of the US (Kansas City)we typically have winter weather "cycles" between Nov and March. We might have 8 inches of snow following a 65 degree weekend and then be below zero before the next bright, summy 40-70 degree day. It translates to a fair number of winter days when you can drive your TR to the golf course or have to dig a path through the snow to the garage.

I had it out on Saturday since it was 70 degrees.

Today (monday) its 30 and snowing (1-2 inches west of albuquerque).

Today (tuesday) double that. Basil, did you get over a foot yesterday?

Well that's it!
It's supposed to be Spring today at least officialy.
We just got about 2 ft of snow and the wind's blowing like a banshee with a temp of 20degF. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
Last week all the snow was gone and I was out in the TR6 for a short (cool) run./ubbthreads/images/graemlins/driving.gif
Now I'm not sure when I'm going to get the darn thing out again, supposed to snow all week! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Today in Iowa my son tells me the sun is located on the equator.
He say's this is a good thing. He is brighter than am I and I would suggest we all rejoice at least those of us in the United States that we can look forward to a little more sun AND shine!

And yet another foot of snow today, when's it going to quit? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/nonono.gif

Any thoughts out there on how to attach a snowplow blade to the front of my TR6? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazyeyes.gif

Maine has experienced one of its snowiest winters in recent decades, well over 100 inches of snow. My '80 TR-7 Spider has battled light snow, general slush and two blizzards. It has started on below zero days and never let me down. I put on snow tires last winter and new front tires [summer treads] this year; the combination has provided good traction and safe driving. I remained on plowed roads, paved and dirt, and stayed on the road the entire time.

Spring has put an end to the snowfall [although we had flurries this morning] and the snowbanks are finally melting down. Now comes mud season.

it's still snowing here, and it is the middle of march! we had over 2 feet of snow in a single night in december, but thats just how it is in chicago. currently, my tr3a is being worked on in my garage, where it will be completely overhauled and redone for scca racing next summer. anyone know of where to get a new chassis for the tr3a? sent a message to TS76703 if you have any info

- thanks /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/england.gif
