How much oil do I use for an oil change without a filter change? I have a 70' TR6, stock engine.Which oil do you use and/or recommend? Thanks /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/patriot.gif

Between 4 and 5 quarts. It's usually 5 quarts with the filter change. Just put 4 quarts in and check it before adding anymore. I just put some Valvoline 10w-40 in my 75 TR6. There are lots of choices when it comes to oil selection. I'm sure others will chime in with advice as well.

My oil selection is 10w40. It is Castrol brand which I choose because of it's cool looking bottle. I add a dash of vanilla but I'm not sure what that does other than kind of smell good. The manual actually states 9.64 pints! Pint's are ok but I like the quarts myself...about 4 and a half or so...
