How long to rewire a Bugeye

I would also note that this is a thread resurrection from 2011 - wow!

I ordered a Custom Harness from British Wiring / Auto Sparks. Not cheap but was able to add things like Alternator Delete which removeds the whole Voltage Regulator Wiring and a ton of extra wiring, Extra Wire Drops for Electric Fan, Added Headlight Relays, additional wire drops for a Power Outlet for USB Plug etc. Delivery was 4-6 weeks out but ended up with a nice Installation. A tip there are no ground wired for the rear bulbs. You'll need to run ground wires to each of the bulb sockets. I grounded a lug on the rear bumper through the boot floor bolt with an extra nut / washer on each side.

That sounds like a very nice option. I just got my harness from bugeye guy a few days back. I also upgraded to the Generator with the dummy VR. Seems simple enough. Tore out the old harness over the weekend so install is coming shortly

I would say it takes as long as your coffee pot is refilled. When the can is empty, you should be done.

Mr. Owl, how many licks does it take to get to the center of a Toosie Roll Tootsie Pop?

1, 2, 3….. crunch, 3 licks!

Consider putting a cigarette lighter (yeah - old phrasing, but me and the car are old) or two behind the dash on the piece of wood (if memory serves) that backs up the grab-handle. Dunno if we used a bigger piece or not (memory!) but it's a good location in that it's hidden, and mounting your switches/plugs/whatever to the wood (only the wood!) gets away from any concerns about positive or negative ground. Recharge your phone; hook up a GPS; etc. Doug

I should also mention that we installed an exceedingly high quality, exceedingly expensive in our never-ending BE project many years ago, and it wasn't worth all the extra work entailed (as well as the cost) in my opinion, for our (future) needs.
