Just got a new modem for my internet. Went to www.speedtest.net to test my upload and download speed. I'm currently at:
Download: 17.35 MPS
Upload: 7.07 MPS

What sort of speed are you getting?

13.24 up
1.82 dn

I need to whine at Verizon, obviously! :jester:

Depends on where you do it at.
What city do you use?

17.61 dn
.98 up

.41 download and .61 upload from my Ipad. Not sure what it means but I first loaded the app. How come my numbers are so different? Also tell me why this is important, if it is. I'm not proud, happy to learn something new.

19.58 down
5.37 up

Download 3.15 Upload .65

Doesn't seem very good to me...

6.48 down
4.09 up
I did change the city from the one the site selected and it got worse.

Slow - but then my employer is paying for it so I am cant really complain.
Down - 2.3mbps - not surprising since that is the level of service they are paying for.
up- 0.25???mbps - looks like I have a problem. I wonder if it is a result of the VPN, security encodinr or whatever else is on the internal network.

I'm probably one of the few people who have no clue about this.
What does this mean in "low tech" people's language?
