How Does Battery Cable Connect to Shut Off Switch?

zblu said:
I have one like John Loftus has posted in the trunk,(its there for originality only-not connected) there is also the same thing available that fits onto the battery post, however I have installed one that has the red plastic key that is removeable (Hella I think)to the inside of the cockpit thereby removing the requirement to get out and open the trunk to turn off or open the batterybox lid to turn off

Methinks you also just brought the fire maiden inside the cockpit thereby removing what little isolation you had from high current circuits which are poorly protected in the car.---Keoke

Keoke, only the key insert is in the cockpit, all the terminating cables etc are still in the battery box area
I would be more worried about the fire maiden as you call it with the original setup being in the trunk with the fuel vapors /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif
