How do your Koeing rims fit?

Hi guys - got the Koeing rims mounted but they look too wide for the front end. Especially with my front end being lowered it looks like first good bump the tire is into the fender, which isn't usually a wonderful thing.

I had rubbing on the stock rims, but that was under the lip. Here it looks like they are going to hit the outside lip.

Same tires as on the stock rims, so it is the new Koeing rims.

Looks like not enough positive offset, we make wheels especially for these cars, if you get fed up with these, give me call.

Thanks Hap - I've had these for about 4 years (brought from a club member) and just finally mounted them.

Looks like I got taken on the rims - crap.

Hey Tom.

Let me pop out to the garage and take some pics of mine. Do you have a side shot of the rims. I would like to see the clearance that you have to the top of the wheel arch.

Cheers,
Tush

Tush! How are you man. Hope things are going well.

Picture of the driver side. (remember guys - she's a road warrior so the deal is mechanically sorted but cosmetics not so important to me)

If you look above the lip you can see where the stock wheel / 205/60/15 tires burned the inside of the fender.

Hi Tom,

Here are a couple of photos.

I am running Konig 16X7 with Yokohama Avid TRZ 205/60/16's. Running GP Comp Springs 1 inch lower but with a RG Spacer added back in (it was a little too low for comfort although I drove it for a year without the spacer). I am also running Koni adjustables in the front that are set on Medium.

Here are the photos. Based on them, and depending on how stiff your suspension is, you might be ok.

As you know, I drive the car and have had it on considerable distance trips. On these trips I have hit some wicked potholes at speed with no ill effects.

Hope that they help.

Cheers,
Tush

It does Tush - thanks. I was planning on putting a spacer back on the driver side as it was too low anyway, maybe I'll give that a go. I like the way she drives with the alloy rims, surprisingly noticeable positive difference.

Hi Ed - thanks for the note. I've been reluctant to roll the fenders but that is an option annd would avoid cutting the tire.

I have the 15 x 7 koenigs no rubbing on fenders whatsoever but thinking about lowering the car slightly will see what happens

I have the 16X7 with no rubbing at all, but I have stock springs with plenty of clearance.

I have a burn mark just like that on my blue car, damm wheelies, LOL
