I recently picked up a door/trunk/igintion lock kit from Moss, the one where one key fits all. After trying to determine how the ignition lock is fitted, I'm wondering if it's better to leave that lock be.
I've gleaned some info from the archives, but i'd rather have a little more info before i go dismantling this thing and totally mess things up.
It's the kind that is located below the steering column. Does the black crashpad thing have to come off first? How is it fastened? I felt around and in the back I could feel a thin bolt fastened with a nut (maybe 7 mm), is that the only fastener?
