When a cars brake system has silicone brake fluid in it? Or, DOT 3 or 4? How do you test which one you have? PJ

Smear some on your paint and if it dissolves (your paint that is) it probably isn't silicone

Now, that's just wrong, Boss!

~Funny, though...~

Well, I could use someone else's car!

First Wife did just that once. Poured a pint of LMA on a Chevelle hood in a parking lot 'cause a guy parked next to her MGB-GT, opened his door and dinked hers putting a dent in it. When she addressed him about it he snarled at her... she waited 'til he went into the store and then "fixed" the issue.

Happened to my son at his apartment...
Some guy did not like people parking next to him ( he was the bully of the apt.), so he would
ding their cars ( and his).. Should have had the "fix" back then....

silicone brake fluid is kinda purple colored. the others are kinda yellow in color. At least Dot 3 is. Never used Dot 4.

The proper way of getting back at such a person is to break into the car, pop the hood, siphon out the windshield washer fluid, and replace it with industrial strength paint stripper. It's the gift that keeps on giving.

I do know a parts guy that urinated in someones windshield washer fluid. It was the only green gallon of it in the store.
