How badly do YOU want to be a bus driver?

Ok, I know this isn't something to be condoned and the kid in this story is guilty as charged. Still, after reading story after story about kids stealing cars for joyriding, breaking into houses, shooting people, etc - I found this kind of amusing. He wants to be a bus driver so badly he stole a bus and put it to work. He's facing charges, but maybe they should consider hiring him in a few years if he keeps his nose clean /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

The police got the call from a guy that , "...became suspcious of the driver, even though he was driving normally and stopping at each bus stop locations on Route 39."

Buahahahahaha.. the best part is that he's done it before! hahaha... I think he needs a mental exam...

Right in my backyard and I didn't even hear about it.

I caught wind of it on Fox tonight too.

You figure the kid's probably got a screw loose, and he shouldn't have taken the bus. But it sure beats reading about the kid that stole the construction crane and destroyed a parking lot full of cars and such.

I WANT PICS!!!! hahahahaha

and they want to press charges? ok, what he did was obviously wrong, but pressing charges in this case seems a bit extreme. Yes, he stole the bus from Lynx, but he didn't go nuts with the thing. He just drove it on the bus route, and made all the stops... he didn't even resist arrest when the officer stopped him.

there ought to be some positive reinforcement somewhere in there....

apparently the kid had already "taken the CDL" tests... and passed...

i dunno... sticky situation there... if he had gone on a mad max joy ride, i can see full persecution to the fullest extent...

just too weird....

I figure there must be more to the story. Maybe he's really a nut job or something. I'd like to think someone at the bus company could let him work off some "community service" with them, give him some guidance, responsibility, and maybe he'd turn out to be an outstanding employee. You never know.

Not quite like, but almost like the WW II kids who were only 17 and lied about their age to go to war. If the kid wants to drive, set him up...
