How about this for a depressing headline?

Yeesh! I even live near Cleveland! Actually, the pipe theft isn't so far fetched. That happened to my fraternity's house after it sold. There were two houses, and I lived in the front house, where the water meters for both houses were. One night I heard lots of water running toward the back house even though it was unoccupied. I shut off the water, and when the new landlord went to check, somebody had broken in and cut lots of pipe out from the basement, leaving about a foot of water before I discovered the running water.

I have heard of stealing aluminum siding off houses, ans ac units, so why not?

I`m not advocating theft in any way. But ......... some words to the predatory lenders and greedy consumers living beyond thier means "What goes around, comes around, one way or another".

My opinion is, It`s a shame it`s all on the taxpayers nickle!

I for one am willing to have my home value drop off. To leave these Greedy consumers and preditory lenders holding thier own bag.

But then my home is paid for and I don`t plan to sell or move anytime soon.

Bailouts ........... In my opinion are criminal!

"Bailouts ........... In my opinion are criminal!"

:iagree: Especially when it is the "fat cats" getting bailed out!!

bugimike, copper schnopper, just north of Stamford theres become a rash of home invations, day before yesterday they caught a guy that broke into a home kidnapped a 60 something year old women stole her car she was later found dead. oh yes im going to give up my right to keep arms. in both my houses and the ones i work on Ive used only p.v.c., cheaper, faster, more reliable, and easier to install, im afraid all this bad news is only the beginning of whats ahead as some people become more desperate.

All I can say is they better come in here with guns blazin' 'cause I doubt they'll geat a chance otherwise. All the ammo fits all the weapons... no pesky fumblin' about inna dark for a fresh CLIP to reload!!!

Motion detectors RING BELLS inside, not lights outdoors... Cameras, too. Thinkin' 'bout trip-wires inna back yard. :jester:

Got most of th' local "youts" scared of the ol' white cracker Veet-NAM vet.

Neighbor: "You goin' to th' 'Neighborhood Watch' meetin'?"

Moi: "Naahh... goin' out back to practice with my new CROSSBOW. Heh."

...that kinda stuff gets spread around kinda quick here. :smirk:

I'm more a stealth kinda guy, Ant'ny... Tanto blades an' machetes get sharpened in front of th' hovel on "high traffic" days so's they get a GOOD look at "th' CRAZY man". And Halloween is ALWAYS a hoot. If I can't scatter 'em, screamin' like their butts' been set alight, the chosen "disguise" is deem'd a failure.

Last year I had a nomex flight suit, combat boots, boonie hat and face paint... hid in shadows near th' base of a big oak and would simply STAND UP as they departed, after the "nice lady" onna porch gave 'em candy... I got a LOT of it BACK with that. Seems they don't have "situational awareness" as part of the school curricula.

...had t' kinda gather it up from the ground mostly, but, hey...

`Tis exactly why I`v a collection of shotguns {Mostly 12 Ga autoloaders with no plugs cept the one I use to hunt with} Twixt me and tha dog, come in here uninvited and there is a high probablitiy you ain`t leavin`, other than in a body bag.
Load my own Shot shells too, won`t say whats inside some of em.
Hint: It ain`t rocksalt.
Note: 41 Cal. Mag bullets fit and fire nicely out of a 4-10 shotgun too.

All THAT to scare kids on Halloween???????????

"Paranoia strikes deep...into your heart it will creep..." :jester:
