Commercial said in the Fall there's gonna be a NCIS Los Angeles....but there's no NCIS office in LA - it's in San Diego.
It's all covert and need to know.

I love Lie to me...I really hope all they are teaching me about reading people's expressions is real! If not, it's still fun!!!

That's one of the very few dramas that I have watched, and it is very well done. No nits for me to pick... (I do with any and all cop shows)

Well, thanks a lot guys, you just ruined for me two of the few shows I can actually watch without gagging. Now when I watch House, I find myself listening to his voice for a hint of accent and miss the dialog. Now you tell me Gibbs is working outside his jurisdiction (I actually knew that) and it is all a spoof. I think I will now actually have to stop listening to the History Channel, as some of their programming is a bit of an exaggeration, or partially wrong. For really good fiction, I watch the news.

Buncha buzz-killers, they are, Ray!

Like I said, IT'S TV - it ain't SUPPOSED to be real!

Exactly James!

BTW: NCIS is returing in September. The show (believe or not) is one of the highest rated on commercial TV so isn't going anywhere just yet. NCIS LA is just a spin off of the original NCIS so who knows/cares how that show will do.
Roy

Forget about the accent AND the dialog and focus on the REALLY important things - Lisa Edelstein - Cuddy, Olivia Wilde - 13, and Jennifer Morrison - Dr. Cameron!!! LOL

But if these shows were on the Internet, then we'd KNOW they were real and factual!! LOL

AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW....Cuddy

One of the very first things I noticed was that I, Dr. James Wilson, was on House! His best (only?) friend, no less....

You'd think they'd have had the courtesy to ask me first.... :jester:

well, they ain't gonna get me any time soon. :smirk:

I heard Hugh Laurie interviewed recently and it was funny to hear him speak "normal".
He's a Brit, so the "American accent" he has in the show is faked.

If you can see him as Bertie Wooster in the old "Jeeves and Wooster" series from the UK.

It's hard to believe that it is the same actor....

I love that series - with Stephen Fry as Jeeves. Wonderful characters like Aunt Agatha and Mr Spode and his league of Brown Shorts.

Have not seen his latest venture as we don't have a TV in the house (tossing the boob tube was the best thing we did!)

Rob.

More & more British & Australian actors are playing Americans on TV & in the movies.....look at True Blood on HBO - most of the major characters are played by actors who are Aussies!
