So, my stepson has decided he wants to hop up his TR7, with a bigger engine, widebody kit, stereo, etc. I recently heard of a company that makes a kit to convert a Ford 2.0 Zetec to rear drive applications so am thinking of going that route, cause those motors are cheap and plentiful where i live. So the question is, will the factory rear end handle the added power, or will I be finding a beefier diff to throw under this thing? I have looked at the front suspension and I will for sure be doing some upgrades there. were it me, I would probably rebuild the stock engine and tweak it for some more ponies, but I know he doesn't have the patience for dealing with carbs so I think something fuel injected will be the way to go.
