Hot Rod Sprite in Alhambra CA

I don't know. With those gears it may not be fast enough to get on the highway nut I'll bet it's a monster in the red light grand prix.

I think with 5.38 gears he would get run over on the coast hiway! Wonder where he gets gas for 14 to 1 comp....nearest airport?

Kurt.

RPMs at 60 would be about 4700 with 23" tire diameter. I assume his redline is around 8000 or greater, otherwise he is wasting everyone's time. The compression is how he gets any torque out of this, and I assume he would be running VP-110 or similar. Some folks build these "heroic" street rods to play on Decker and Mulholland, others just use a larger engine & 5 speed and can drive anywhere.

Edited to add: No doubt that, in it's element, it's a blast to drive.

Probably be a fun auto-crosser!! Don't think I would enjoy it on the highway.

I pass by a 76 station in Pasadena that sells racing gas @ 9.95 per gallon - ouch!
