Anyone know, 1, if this is a wire type clamp and 2, will it fit a 1 inch OD heater hose? I've asked Moss with no results. Number 12 in the drawing. PJ

I don't know if this helps but on page 17 of my MGA catalog Moss lists the part numbers for the wire type hose clamps used on an MGA. Since the #12 in your pic ( Moss) does not have the same part number as a wire clamp , and that the MGA and MGB used the same heater hoses, it must not be a wire clamp. I think the wire type clamps were phased out when the cooling system pressures increased above 5 PSI (MGA).

In 2006 when finishing up the 72 restoration, Moss had the wire clamps which I needed to replace the originals. The photo of the 72 engine shows the Moss clamps. I also bought wire clamps from them for the TF and the photo of it's engine shows them as well. What I need now is the matching wire clamps for the heater hoses on the TF, which are 1 inch in diameter. I emailed Moss, but no answer! I'll call Moss and find out, they aren't the greatest for answering their email, never were! PJ
