OMG! 20F and winds gusting to 40 mph here in SW Fairfield County, CT. Forgot to wear my long johns. Wife had to go into NYC but took the train and subway so she only had to walk a few blocks. I have to be careful putting on my jacket because I just got a pacemaker Monday and don't want to pull the leads out. Not supposed to drive but I had a poker game this afternoon (won $11.00) and just rested my left arm on the wheel while driving over and back. My heart rate can never fall below 60 now - no more 28 bpm - 2 away from the world record low heartbeat that I got a few weeks ago. I won't be able to drive the TR6 though until maybe February but I was going to lay it up for the winter anyway with drygas and fuel stabilizer. I then run the engine up to temperature, pump the clutch and brakes a few times, shut 'er down and wait for Spring. Been doing that for 21 years.

Cold here too in PA. It's currently 16 degrees. Tomorrow morning expected to be 12 degrees (that's -12C )
Hey JP- Close the door, would ya?

Not nearly that cold in Portland, but with our hills, the snowfall (a mere 2") has been a nightmare. There is an amusing video on the national nightly news of a school bus (that I think was empty) plowed into an SUV which plowed into another vehicle.

Yea snow 3-5 then -25 Saturday morning that's -25 degrees not including wind chill
only good thing it will be to cold to snow!

Cold here too.31 this morning and freezing my _____ off
Thank goodness mid and upper 70's this weekend

single digits in SW Ohio this morning when I left for work, around 20 now. Supposed to get freezing rain overnight turning to just rain around midday tomorrow as it warms up to the 50s. But drops back to 20s and 30s Sunday. I want it to look like Christmas, not feel like it...

Whoa! Isn't a pacemaker kind of a major thing?
sounds like it hasn't made you downshift much.
hope your feeling well & heading for a Great Christmas!

So far a big improvement over the irregular beats I was getting. Can't go lower than 60 unless I get skipped beats - which sometimes happens. Can't play golf or tennis for 2 months though and not supposed to life my left arm over my head although I forgot and stretched my arms in bed upon waking this am. Also can't lift anything over 5 pounds for a while. Wife does all the heavy lifting now. All in all, I can't complain. Besides - who would listen?
