Horns stopped working?? BJ8

This past weekend I installed a Pertronix ignitor and coil in my '66 BJ8. Everything is working great, except today I discovered that the horns are suddenly not working. All other electricals seem to be in working order, lights, radio, turn signals (didn't get into overdrive). I've checked all the connections at the horns and everything seems fine. Could I have done something when installing the ingition/coil? What can I check to solve this?

Thanks!

I'm not sure if the work you did caused the problem. There is a single fuse dedicated to the horn circuit. 50 amp Lucas, I believe. Start by checking this fuse.

Wanna, With one of those light type electrical testors or a Volt Meter check that you have 12 Volts at all four horn terminals .If you do the horn fuse is good.Assuming the fuse is good look at the wire harness coming into the horns you will see a purple and black wire, diconnect that wire and using a jumper lead hook that empty horn terminal to groumd momentarily- the horns should beep. Also check that short harness between the horns you may have broken a wire off working on the distributor.---FWIW---Keoke

Thanks for the info, Keoke. Now I have another weapon in my meager but growing asenal of becoming a self-sufficient Healey owner. I love learning about the car as I go...
