Hello All,
It seems that it’s one little thing after the other with my MGB right now, but as long as they are relatively cheap fixes then it’s OK. Isn’t it?
My horn does not work when you push the horn push. I cleaned the “horn brush” but it still doesn’t work.
But…
* If I ground the purple/black wire at the horn, it works.
* If I ground the purple/black wire that exits the steering column (under the dash), the horn works.
I suspect that the problem lies at the switch in the steering wheel, or the purple/black wire from the connector under the dash to the steering wheel is broken.
When I look down the hole that the horn brush goes in, I see just hole that goes all the way through. I would have thought I should have seen something for the horn brush to make contact with.
Do I remove both the steering wheel and plastic steering cowl to check this out, or should I do only one first? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Obtong
