TR2/3/3A Horn, Turn Signal Switch

My Tr3 turn signal/horn spins to the left to 10, right to 3, and my turn signals work briefly, but no longer work. Did I turn the assembly too far?. How can I investigate easily, and see if there are loose connections inside my horn/turn assembly?

Is this where I should be looking?

Yup, that's probably it. First thing is to get it apart and find why the head is turning so far; which is probably a broken stator tube. Then you'll probably want to replace the wires that have been damaged by the head turning with the wheel. Finally, either disassemble, clean and lubricate the head; or replace it as well. Most likely the tube broke because the cancelling mechanism was binding.

Though, on the remote chance it is something simple -- you might check that nut that secures the lower end of the stator tube on the front of the steering box.

Usually when it is loose oil leaks so you probably would have noticed it, but check it just in case.
