All,
Can anyone help me identify what this black and white Triumph shield horn push button might fit? Note the 'nipple' at the brass contact. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Tim

Looks like what I use on the herald or spitfire.

But the shield is black and I think mine are always white and blue.

Not anything like the TR3 which has a control head that houses the signal switch and horn and is just a plain black button.

:iagree:
It might be fun to try to graft that logo onto a TR2/3 horn button, though

Pretty sure that would fit a TR6 as well, they were pretty standard I thought, other than logo variations.

edit: oops, Tim, I'm not paying attention - basically does it not work on a TR6? just that little bit of plastic makes a difference?

Spitfire or GT6 up to 1972,maybe early 1973. After that it said Triumph Instead of having the shield

The wording of the question is open to interpretation. You will probably find it will "fit" just about any of the mid-1960s through mid-1970s wheels. Dimensionally it is the same as the blue/white shield button in my GT6. I currently have one of those black/white buttons in our Spitfire. And... that Spitfire horn button should fit TR6s from the same period.

However, that does not answer the question of what the black/white button is correct for. I agree with Jim Egan that it was probably originally from Spitfire/GT6 through 1972.

Thanks for all of the feedback. Neither my TR6 or TR4 wheel can accept this because of the protrusion on the side at the brass contact. Both cars have blue/white logos.

I take it the Spitfire/GT6 through 72 can accept a push button with the protrusion.

I realize the locating protrusion could be removed and made to fit both my cars.

Thanks
Tim
