HORN AND DIRECTIONALS

I have a BJ8 and all of a sudden the directionals and horn do not work. I expect this is a connector that has seperated. I am wondering if anyone has had the same problem and is able to tell me where to start looking before I start chasing wires and wasting time. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Nick

The only connection between these two items is the steering wheel hub. They are on different fuses, so it's unlikely that. I'll let others further diagnose

Check the connectors at the wiring harness coming out of the steering box. Sounds like the ground wire is open (horn button, for instance, makes a circuit to ground when pressed).
