Hope to shoot some eagles!

That's right, I said it! This Saturday I'm going out and try to shoot some eagles!

Of course I'll leave the P.38 in the car and shoot with my Canon (7D Mark II).

The wife and I are going on a raptor tour at Bosque Del Apache this weekend. This will be our second trip to the Bosque, but the first time on a guided tour for raptors.

At first I thought you were going golfing...

If there are two games I don't like it would be two games of golf.

Sounds like a good time. I love watching birds of prey. At first I thought you were going golfing...
If I were going golfing it'd be a fair bet I would'nt be shooting any eagles. I'd be spending most of my time in the woods looking for lost balls!

Enjoyed the day, except for the wife getting car sick in the tour van. Saw 2 Eagles and about 16 Hawks - all from the confines of a van. Got no pictures worth sharing unfortunately.

Here's a so-so picture. Not very sharp, but it was out of a van window.

Was being in a van the way the tour was set up? Doesn't sound like it was intended for photography. Coulda stayed home and shot your TV tuned to Animal Planet.

Yes, but we didn't realize that until we were there. It was not set up for photography, that's for sure, but it was still a nice tour.

Not a bad shot BTW. Have you tried to sharpen it in the Canon software?

At least now you know where the birds may be hanging out when you go back.

Sorry to hear the tour was set up that way.
