My poor MGB just dodged a multi ton bullet as a 100+ year old california oak tree fell and took out part of the garage my 75B's stored in. I guess there is another huge tree comming down as well but they dont think its going to hit the garage but it's taken out most of the power to the block.

Hope the rest of you guys have your ark built.

I guess it's been raining for a few days I'm stuck up in santa land where liquid water is not normal this time of year. Little bit of rain and everything falls apart.

Had a lot of trouble with the basement flooding. (For those of you outside CA, basements here are rare. I have one of the few houses with a "California basement," just big enough for the water heater and furnace.) Anyway, I couldn't find the source of the water; I'd sandbagged the door (the entrance to the basement is from the outside of the house) and clearly there was no water coming in there. Finally, during one downpour, I found it flowing from a crack between the stairs and the basement wall! Not sure how to fix that--but in the short term, sandbags and a sump pump will have to do.

But as much of a problem as this is, we really do need the water. Still beats a drought.

Here in Santa Cruz, we rely on rain for our water. The storm you got, we got first. To date, our rainfall is 6 inches below average. Same as last year. The water department says unless we get a Noah type storm, 30% cut in water usage is in our future.

We have been in a drought for at least 2 years now.
